Individual Therapy
Therapy appointments are person-centered, and collaborative. Based on your goals for healing, we can create an integrative treatment plan drawing on trauma-informed approaches, such as EMDR and IFS, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, creative arts, and more. Therapy is tailored to each client’s unique needs. Specializations include:
Complex Trauma & PTSD
Anxiety & Panic
Depression
Self-Esteem and Identity
Culturally-Affirming Care
Perfectionism & Burn Out
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, highly effective, evidence-based therapy for processing and healing from trauma. EMDR can help lower clients’ distress levels related to past memories or events, and help clients incorporate new beliefs and perspectives about themselves moving forward. This can reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, to assist your brain in reprocessing memories. IFS-Informed
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based, trauma-healing, individual therapy. IFS is a creative approach, based on the framework that we all have a core Self, and many protective or wounded inner parts of ourself. For example, client’s might explore parts like an “inner child,” “self-critic,” “anxious part,” etc. IFS helps client understand and heal parts of themself, incorporating these parts into a compassionately-operating internal system.
Spiritually-Integrated Therapy
Spiritually-integrated therapy is for any client who would like to incorporate their own spirituality into their healing process. This may include identifying and exploring the client’s spiritual resources, such as meditation, prayer, connection to a higher power, religious beliefs, etc. that contribute to mental and emotional wellbeing. Spiritually-integrated therapy can also be helpful for clients who want to work through religious or spiritual trauma, for example, feeling harmed by a religious institution, or working through anxiety rooted in fear-based teachings.
